An Artist's Quest for "Soul" in a Chaotic World—by InnerSpirit

This is my InnerSpirit blog page...a page of reflection...inquiry...
and artistic questions about myself, my life, and the world around me. A place for my own personal contemplation of my emotions, my actions, my art, my spiritual journey and how they all intertwine and influence each other. I hope that you check it out, think a little about your life and the many creative things that you might be engaged in...how do those fit into your life and impact the various aspects of your own life? Let's reflect together!

Day 3: Creativity In A Can...Two to Be Exact

It's been a long, tiring week. My brain is fried due to the emotional drain from patients and families and little to no sleep created by doing homework for my Clinical III. About the only creativity I could muster was today was combining these two cans from my cubboard for a "creative"evening dinner. This artist is living on the edge today, as always!

Do you ever try and "switch up" from two or more existing items to create a unique solution? What types of premium "solutions " have you created and how did that work out?

Blessings and love,
D.

  4. GlitterGoddess...I don't know if you would find my cooking good after a few days, but thank you for the vote of confidence.

Paula-Buenos Aires...what a great name...do you live there? Sounds very exotic. Thank you for the compliment on my title. Sometimes something can still pop unto my head no matter how overdone I am. Guess that is why we are artisits.

xinme...so glad that you are using AEDM as your way to achieve peace. Art can really be very meditative if you allow it's magic to work with you. Good luck with that.

Sherry Lynn...you are way to kind. Glad you enjoyed the short post. We'll see how the rest of the week pans out for us.

  6. Though i eat those foods very often. I haven't tried putting them in one dish. I was thinking what would be the taste.
Anyways, I love your idea of combining ordinary things to create a unique one.

  7. Absolutely my favorite way to cook: open cupboard, withdraw things that look complimentary, cook. Way to take care of yourself! You Go Woman!

  8. I loved seeing this today and understand where you are coming from :)...I got together with friends for coffee yesterday and we were all a bit on the tired side and looking for help with dinner ideas....after some laughs and talk, 5 out of 9 of us decided to make tortilla soup for dinner and traded off ideas for ingredients based on what we had in our cupboards......no one had to try too hard and everyone got fed :)

  10. Sue...thanks for stopping by, yes feeding oneself nutritious things can be a challenge. I have to be creative sometimes to make the same old items seem new and exotic...I guess a way social workers like myself try and "reframe" things. :)

Spiritual Retreat: They were actually pretty good together, though if I combined them again I would only add about 1/2 of the can of stewed tomatoes. They began to outdue the other soup flavors.

Tami: Your my kinda gal! Great women have to stick together and do what we can to be healthy and still find fun in what we eat.

Andrea: So glad that you got to spend some time being social with your friends...tortilla soup, that sounds good. Was it a canned item or did you guys make it? What's in that?

Lilasvb: You better go get some cans for those late night hunger pains! Are you a starving artist type?
